Sustainability

Sustainability is important to us. We promote the ethos of slow fashion, creating clothes that are made to last and be passed on through generations. We have chosen timeless styles that are loose and perfect for layering – nothing skimpy or skin-tight at BlueBarn.Life. We use high-quality fabrics and each piece is expertly crafted with skill and care for longevity. But if ever patches or repairs were required, they would only add to a garment’s character.

We use only natural fibres. Many of our textiles are upcycled or vintage, and new fabrics are sourced from the UK or Ireland, for example Irish linens from Ballymenatweeds from the island of Harris and silks from James Hare. All our clothes are hand-made here at School House Farm.
