Description
Shirt in the style of the 18th and 19th centuries with gathers at the collar, cuffs and shoulders, a small collar and half placket. The shirt is made from an unused mangle-cloth - medium weight, a long narrow strip of densely woven linen that would have been wrapped around washed clothes when the water was squeezed out through the rollers of the mangle. The linen is undyed, with indigo and white stripes along each border.
