Our skirt design is inspired by Jacqueline Durran’s wonderful costumes in the 2019 film Little Women.
It is full and billowy, with box-pleats into the waistband and a buttoned back placket. We add side- or patch-pockets and one or more contrasting tiers at the bottom.
We make a patchwork version whenever we have enough fabric scraps.
Our skirts are mostly made from Irish linen, but we have also made chunky winter skirts and skirts in panels of different coloured silk.
